GBH’s Calderwood Studio

 

Located on Guest Street in Brighton in the GBH (formerly WGBH) building, Calderwood Studio is an intimate, immersive, and dynamic concert venue with modern conveniences.

With ample free parking and access to public transportation, delicious restaurants and bars within walking distance, and the unique experience of being a part of a live studio audience, a concert at GBH’s Calderwood Studio is unforgettable.

 

Boston Baroque’s performances in Calderwood Studio at GBH have a capacity of 260 audience members per performance. The hall is set-up with Boston Baroque musicians on the floor, with the front half of seating curved around the performers on the floor, and the back half of seating placed on elevated risers. There are ample restrooms available for use within the building. All in-person performances at GBH during the 22-23 Season will be streamed live to audiences around the world.

GBH has free parking available in the parking garage directly adjacent to the 1 Guest Street building. Here is a link to directions to the parking garage on Google Maps. While the gate to the parking garage may be down when you enter, please take a parking ticket that will then be validated at the performance. Do not prepay for parking in the garage—parking is free for all Boston Baroque audience members.

GBH is also located on public transportation via the #66 bus line and the Boston Landing stop on the Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail Line.

 
 

NEC’s Jordan Hall

 

Located in the heart of downtown Boston inside New England Conservatory, Jordan Hall is a one of the nation’s most treasured concert halls.

With superb acoustics, ample seating, and a designated historic landmark, you’ll always enjoy the opulent splendor of a concert at Jordan Hall.

 

Boston Baroque’s performances at NEC’s Jordan Hall have a capacity of 1,000 audience members per performance. Opened in 1903, the hall is set-up in a traditional way, with an elevated stage at front and seating available on the first floor or in the balcony. Restrooms are available in the rear of the hall.

We recommend using public transportation to access Jordan Hall. The closest train stops are the “Symphony” stop on the Green Line “E” train, and the “Massachusetts Avenue” stop on the Orange Line. There is very limited parking around Jordan Hall. We recommend parking in the Gainsborough Garage at 10 Gainsborough Street, or the Westland Avenue Garage at 35 Westland Avenue. There is very limited street parking available on Gainsborough Street, St. Botolph Street, Huntington Avenue, and St. Stephen Street. Because of the large number of music and theater presenters in the area, please provide ample time to find parking.

 
 

Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre

 

Located on Harvard University’s campus in Cambridge, Sanders Theatre is the home of our annual New Year’s Celebration concert on New Year’s Day.

Limited metered street parking is available around Sanders Theatre and around Harvard Square. Parking is also available at the Broadway Garage and 52 Oxford Street Garage.

Sanders Theatre is located on public transportation by taking the Red Line train to the “Harvard” stop. Bus lines that stop in Harvard Square include the #71, #73, #74, #75, #77, #78, #86, and #96. For detailed information on public transportation in Harvard Square, visit the MBTA’s website.

 
 

The Huntington Theatre

 

Located in the heart of downtown Boston on Huntington Avenue, the Huntington Theatre will host Boston Baroque’s 23-24 opera performance.

With a beautiful, newly-renovated hall, the Huntington Theatre will transport you into the immersive world of opera.
