During my first week, I got to meet my amazing supervisor Jill Tokac, and we set up some goals for me. I got to learn more about Boston Baroque, its history, and the staff. Then I went over my first project which was making a social media campaign for Boston Baroque! It was really exciting to be able to think of ideas and then bring them to life. I then created some Facebook events for the upcoming Boston baroque concerts. It was so cool to get to learn hands-on experience with social media marketing.

This week I got to meet and chat with Maria Whitcomb. Maria is the Development Operations & Database Manager at the Boston baroque. She also graduated from school pretty recently and shared a lot of wisdom about navigating life in a career of arts and management. She was super sweet and had so many helpful tips that I can bring with me!

Today I got to meet with Katie DeBonville. She is the Chief Development Officer and Campaign Manager, which means she has a lot of experience fundraising! She taught me about the importance of listening in a conversation and how that can totally change the result when talking in a business deal or fundraising event. She was so knowledgeable and I learned so much from talking to her. This week I also learned how to use Hootsuite! Hootsuite is an social media analytics tool that allows you to see how you are doing on various platforms. I got to make a presentation on our numbers on Canva and it was super fun. Check out the links below to see the presentation I made!
